A very sad day here at the sanctuary as Ava gained her wings.
Ava arrived here at seven years old. She was one of a group of dogs belonging to an elderly owner, who had taken ill. Ava’s companions, Ella, Anna and Lucy are all happily rehomed, but Ava had problems with her paw and one of her shoulders so she became a permanent resident. She was the sweetest, friendliest girl who loved lounging in the garden or on a soft bed. But if the young ones got out of hand, she never hesitated to tell them who was in charge.
