If you are interested in adopting a dog from Clare Greyhound Sanctuary, please write us an email and tell us about your living situation, your experience with dogs, other pets in the house, children, what the dogs daily life should be like etc. The more information we get, the easier it is for us to match you to the right hound.
Once we have narrowed it down to which dog or dogs that are most suitable, you are very welcome to come and visit the hounds and take them for a walk to get to know them a little better. If you have another dog they are very welcome here to meet their potential new companion, and go for a walk together in order to get to know each other. Children are of course very welcome too. We will provide follow up support, and if a dog must be returned they are always welcome back. But we ask anyone considering to adopt a greyhound to think long and hard about the commitment needed beforehand, in order to minimize the risk of having to return the dog.
Our dogs are rehomed as indoor pets only.
A homecheck and an adoption fee (150 euros) applies to all adoptions. Our dogs are available for adoption in Ireland and Europe.
